tobyHi Jasmine,The T4i(body only) is now the same price as the T3i and the savings just ar1&e#82n7;t big enough for me to recommend getting the T3i. So I say get the T4i with or if you plan on doing video and want easy autofocus. Shoot for awhile and then come back and chat about the next lenses you could consider. But for starting the 18-55 or 18-35 are fine lenses to learn with and use on a daily basis.
